Due to the draw becoming available late last week, we have not had time to update the Website in preperation for the July 14 start.
The Website draw will be updated by following round, so the electronic version will online as of 21st July, 2020.
Please ensure the matchcards are provided to SMHA, so we can update the results and data into the system over the next 7 days. Thank you.

Urgent Notice Update
Most of you would have seen the Hockey NSW post re their strong recommendation to suspend the commencement of Competitions until May 2, 2020 in addition to cancelling training etc.
The SMHA board (as I am sure will also be the case with other Associations) are following the recommendations put forward, and subsequently, the SMHA Competition is henceforth Suspended.
Therefore, NO GAMES will be played 17th March and onwards until further notice.
The advice from Hockey NSW can be located here.
The advice from Hockey Australia can be viewed here.
SMHA will provide an update on THIS page in addition to email in APRIL to advise plans around re-starting competition on Tuesday 5th May, or if the period needs to be extended further.
The Hockey State Championships have been cancelled also, so please do NOT book any travel/accomodation for these events.
National championships have NOT been cancelled at this time.
Again, we appreciate our players understanding and patience around this critical issue. If we can get a handle on this chellenge over the coming 5-6 weeks, sports should be able to resume as per normal. Let's hope!

The Sydney Masters Hockey Association (SMHA) board held a special meeting this evening to discuss the current threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and consider various strategies for the 2020 season; from Player safety (priority) to competition restructuring (e.g if shorter season, or worse case, cancelled) through to financial impacts & viability - and have strategies in place for all contigencies.
We have sought advice from Hockey NSW and Hockey Australia, and have been advised urgent meetings will be taking place over the next 48 hours, at which time a recommendation will be provided.
Based on the current advice from these organisations, together with general Government advice, we are going ahead with matches scheduled Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th March in the SMHA Competition, subject to not receiving updated advice between now and 2pm tomorrow for Tuesday's matches in particular.
We ask that ALL PLAYERS scheduled to play Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th March check back on this page by 2pm each day to confirm match status. If the games are still ON, there will be a green alert message top of screen. If you see a red alert, the matches will have been cancelled based on updated advice.
On the basis games are being played, we URGE players to read and adhere to the measures (Safety Notice) recommended on the right of screen.
We understand that people are very anxious at this time and especially around hourly media updates, local closures and other measures. We appreciate all your patience and understanding around this very fluid situation, and accepting that the STATUS may change anytime (by 2pm tomorrow firstly).
We will continue to provide updates on THIS PAGE moving forward, where we expect another major announcement to be communicated within days.
Team coordinators will also be advised via our competition manager Simon McCoy as anything changes.

The measures above are recommended by Hockey Australia and by most sporting associations still playing local competitions.
